Estimates and quotes
A written estimate is our good-faith assessment of your move based on the information you provide. For local moves, an estimate becomes a flat price once we’ve confirmed the inventory and details; for long-distance moves we issue a binding written quote, which holds as long as the shipment and scope match what we quoted. If the actual move differs significantly — far more items, added stops, or access we weren’t told about — the price may be adjusted, and we’ll talk to you before any change.
Deposits and cancellation
An $89 deposit reserves your date and is applied to your final total. If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you reasonably can; deposits are refundable up to a few business days before your move and may be retained for last-minute cancellations, since we’ve held a crew and truck for you.
Liability and valuation
Our standard coverage is released value at $0.60 per pound per article, included at no extra charge. You may elect full-value protection for an additional cost, which we’ll quote in writing before the move. We also carry up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. Claims must be reported promptly and in writing so we can inspect and resolve them fairly.
Your responsibilities
Please make sure walkways and access are reasonably clear, disclose any oversized or specialty items in advance, and remove hazardous materials, perishables, and irreplaceable documents to carry yourself. We’re not liable for items we did not pack that were boxed by others, or for inherent issues in pre-packed cartons we didn’t fill.
